Company-wide payroll policies. Changes apply to payroll entries created after saving.

Shift Inclusion Rules

Which shift assignments count toward a payroll entry. A shift must satisfy every enabled rule to be paid.

Require published

Only shifts from a released roster are paid. If off, draft (unpublished) shifts are also paid.

Require guard accepted

The guard must have accepted the assignment. If off, shifts the guard never responded to are also paid.

Require guard confirmed

The guard must have confirmed closer to the shift. If off, accepted but unconfirmed shifts are also paid.

Always excluded regardless of settings: deleted shifts, cancelled shifts, and shifts the guard explicitly rejected or denied. The payroll screen shows a notice with how many shifts were excluded by these rules for each period.

Tax Calculation Method

How PAYG withholding is computed for each salary slip. Applies to payroll entries created after saving.

Year-to-date reconciliation

Projects annual income from what the guard has actually earned this fiscal year and subtracts tax already withheld. Self-correcting when earnings vary between fortnights.

Per-period projection (ATO standard)

Annualises this cycle's gross alone (a fortnight is multiplied by 26), computes the annual tax including any additional taxes, and divides back per cycle rounded to the dollar. Each cycle stands alone; no look-back at earlier pay.

Payslip Line Labels

How each pay component is named on payslips and the payroll grid. Applies to payslips created after saving; already-created payslips keep the labels they were issued with. Overtime tier labels are set per tier on the rate card.
